    「手紡ぎの風景―『羊の本』こぼれ話」
    本出ますみ <ウール クラッサー/羊の原毛屋SPINNUTS/スピナッツ出版代表>

    内容:
    今年5月に羊と羊毛の入門書「羊の本」を出版しました。その編集に携わる3年の間に興味深い話は数々ありました。人は羊の乳と肉と毛と糞で1万年を生きたということ、その古今東西の羊と羊毛の話をいたします。

    The landscape with hand spinning — Spilling talk of ALL ABOUT SHEEP AND WOOL BOOK

    Contents:
    A guide book of the sheep and the wool “ALL ABOUT SHEEP AND WOOL” was published in May 2018. There were many interesting stories in the process of editing this book. I would like to share some of those stories about the sheep from all ages and countries and the fact that ‘Man lived through 10000 years with milk of sheep, their wool and feces’.

    Profile:
    Masumi Honde Wool Classer. The Director of SPINNUTS Publication. Born in 1958, started her wool shop in Kyoto in 1984. She acquired the qualification of Wool Classer at Lincoln University in New Zealand in 1991.     「手紡ぎウールの強撚糸で伸縮性のある布を織る」
    すずき ひろこ

    内容:ホームスパンの布は仕上げが大切。
    ふつうの撚り加減の布はウールのフェルト化能力を生かしますが、
    強撚糸の布はウールの弾力、復元力を生かします。ニットのような伸び縮みのある布になるので、体になじむ布を作ることができます。素材、密度、撚り加減によって風合いは様々です。
    やってみたいな、と思っていただけるようなお話ができたら嬉しいです。

    プロフィール:
    20歳の時、独文科を休学し、放浪の旅の途中で織と出会い、ホームスパンの清野新之助先生に師事。
    現在は、埼玉県飯能市の山中で制作と教室をやっている。

    Weaving with homespun hard twisted wool yarn to create a fabric with elasticity/ Hiroko Suzuki

    Contents:
    Finishing process of homespun fabric makes the difference Unlike the common homespun fabric, woven textile fabric with hard twisted wool is elastic and can be stretched like knitted fabric. This characteristic contributes to free body movements. The texture varies in materials, density, and how it’s spun. I’m hoping you to be motivated to weave something new.

    Profile:
    Hiroko has met ‘weaving’ while traveling at the age of 20 and studied weaving under Shinnosuke Seino. She enjoys creating and teaching to weave in her own studio in the mountain in Hannoh-shi Saitama.

    「スプラングの特徴と素材の活用」
    相原 千恵子 <ユパンキ工房>

    内容:古代テキスタイル技法の一つであるスプラングは、かつてエジプトやユーラシア大陸、中近東、南米などで広く使われていました。遺跡や墳墓からの発掘品は世界各地の博物館に収蔵され、貴重な資料として現在まで伝えられています。今回は2500年ほど前の南米アンデス地域のスプラング裂を実例を取り上げて、スプラング技法の特徴と素材となるアルパカ手紡ぎ糸の特色や効果について概説します。

    プロフィール:
    上智大学スペイン語科卒。アンデスの古代染織文化に魅了されて1973年、はじめて南米各地を3ヶ月間巡る。その後自らもテキスタイルの創作世界に進み、1976年から文化学院アート&クラフトセンターで堀内紀子氏に師事。1983年にユパンキ工房開設。以後日本や南米各地で調査、個展、レクチャー、ワークショップを開催。 1992年、スプラング技法の復活をテーマにした論文で、JT-日本たばこ産業(株)の「 クロスカルチャー大賞」奨励賞受賞。2003年には30年の研究をまとめた『スプラング』および『スプラングサンプル資料集』を出版。現在もスプラングをはじめ、古代からの伝統技法の普及に努めている。https://sites.google.com/site/ypq2aihara/

    Sprang — Charasteristics and the materials
    Chieko Aihara (Taller Yupanqui)

    Contents:
    As one of ancient textile techniques, “Sprang” has been widely used in Egypt and East Europe, Asia and South America. The items found in the remains and ancient tomb are collected in museums worldwide and kept as valuable materials. This time I will talk about the outline of Sprang using handspun alpaca yarn with an example of approximately 2500 years old Sprang fabric from Andes.

    Profile:
    Graduated from Sophia University (majored in Spanish). Fascinated by ancient dyeing culture in Andes, traveled all over South America for 3months in 1973. Studied under Toshiko Horiuchi at Bunka Gakuin from 1976. Established Taller Yupanqui in 1983 and have been conducting investigations and exhibitions, lectures and workshops in Japan and South America since then. She has received “Cross Culture Award” from JT-Japan Tobacco Inc. in 1992 for her paper about the restoration of Sprang technique. She also published her own books [Sprang] and [Sprang Sample Sourcebook] in 2003 as compilation of her 30 years of research.     「衣服でアートを紡ぐ」
    眞田 岳彦 <衣服 造形家、SANADA Studio代表>

    紡ぐことで生まれる風合いは、繊維を素材とするデザインとアートにおいて大きな効果をもたらします。天然繊維を紡ぎ、衣服の制作と地域プロジェクト活動を映像・画像、作品の実物を用いてご紹介します。

    プロフィール:
    眞田岳彦 衣服 造形家、SANADA Studio代表
    1962年東京都生まれ。イッセイミヤケでデザインを学び92年に渡英。造形を学び彫刻家リチャードディーコンの助手を務める。93年北極圏グリーンランド滞在。95年帰国SANADA studio設立。これまでにロンドンクラフトミュージアム、在日カナダ大使館高円宮記念ギャラリー、メゾンエルメス、森美術館等で作品展示。せたがや文化財団生活工房、越後妻有大地の芸術祭、震災後の心を包む支援、他、衣服繊維プロジェクト企画・ディレション多数。次世代教育組織「眞田塾」、衣服造形「七月七日会」主宰。著作「IFUKU衣服」(六耀舎)、「考える衣服」、「ひらく衣服」(スタイルノート)他。現在 女子美術大学特任教授。東北芸術工科大学客員教授。武蔵野美術大学、愛知県立芸術大学、桑沢デザイン研究所等の非常勤講師。http://sanada-studio.info/

    Spinning the art by clothes

    The texture created by spinning brings the big effect in the design and the art which uses the fiber as material. I will introduce production of clothes and field projects using videos, pictures and some of my works.

    Profile:
    Takehiko Sanada Fashion Designer, Artist, Director of SANADA Studio Born in Tokyo in 1962. Studied design under Issei Miyake then went to England. Worked as an assistant of sculptor Richard Deacon. Stayed in Greenland in 1993. Returnd to Japan and established SANADA Studio in 1995. His exhibitions were held in London Craft Museum, Embassy of Canada Prince Takamado Gallery, Maison Hermes and Mori Art Museum. Many other Field Projects and Disaster Relief Projects have been achieved and being planned. Supervisor of SANADA-JUKU –the educational organization for the next generation(private school) and 7th of JULY –the art exhibition. His books: [IFUKU](Rokuyousha) and [Conceptual Clothing][Prefab Coat A.X+α](Stylenote). Currently a specially appointed professor of Joshibi University of Art and Design, a visiting professor of Tohoku University of Art and Design, a part-time lecturer of Musashino Art University, Aichi University of Arts and Kuwasawa Design School etc. http://sanada-studio.info/

    「手仕事には未来がある」 岩立 広子 
    <岩立フォークテキスタイルミュージアム館長、染織工芸研究、収集家>

    内容:インドが独立の時、貧困から立ち上がる勇気を民衆に示したのは、自分の手で糸を紡ぎ、一枚の布を織ることから出発しようと自ら牢獄の中で糸を紡いだ。
    長いインドの旅から体験したことをお話します。

    プロフィール:
    1955年:女子美術大学工芸科卒業。柳悦考・柚木沙弥郎に師事する。
         卒業後は染織家としてスタートし、個展を多数回開く。
    1965年:単身で、ニューヨーク、ペルー、メキシコ、グァテマラを訪ねる。
    1970年:インド探訪。これ以降40年以上に渡り、通算80回を超える訪印足を記録。
    1981年:日本民藝館にて「アフガニスタンの工芸」展を開催。
    1984年:日本民藝館にて「インドの民芸」展を開催。
    1985年:ギャラリーを併設したインドの手仕事を扱う店「カディ岩立」を設立。
    1992年:日本民藝館にて「アフガニスタンの織物」展を開催。
    1996年:日本民藝館にて「インドの文化」展を開催。
    2007年:日本民藝館にて「インド大地の布」展を開催。
    2009年: カディ岩立を閉店し、岩立フォークテキスタイルミュージアムを開館。
    2014年: 日本民藝館にて「カンタと刺子」展を開催。

    広大で多彩な文化を持つインドへ足繁く通い、風土に触れ、人々を接して収集した、インドの名もなき民が生み出す美しい大地の布は約4000点に及ぶ。インド以外にも、世界中を探訪し収集した染織品は約4000点、合計約8,000 点を所蔵する。 岩立フォーク テキスタイル ミュージアムではインドを軸に、さまざまな企画展を催し、世界中の染織品を展示している。 著書に『インド沙漠の民と美』(用美社)、『インド 大地の布』(求龍堂)。

    Handcraft has a future Hiroko Iwatate
    Director of Iwatate Folk Textile Museum, a collector and a researcher of Dyeing Arts and Crafts

    Contents:
    When India became independent, They started spinning a yarn and weave cloths in a jail to encourage the people to stand up from poverty. I will talk about my experiences from a long journey in India.

    Profile:
    1955 – Graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design majored in Arts and Crafts. Studied under Yoshitaka Yanagi and Samiro Yunoki. Started her carrier as a dye artist and held many exhibitions:
    1965 – Visited New York, Peru, Mexico and Guatemala:
    1970 ? Visited India. She has visited India more than 80 times over the past 40 years:

    「ポーランド ヤノフ村の二重織り 織文化と技法」

    内容:近年日本の織り物ファンの間でも人気のある、ポーランドヤノフ村の伝統的な二重織りについてご紹介します。
    歴史的、文化的背景とともにヤノフ村独特の織の発展の仕方をご紹介。技法は、デモを交えてご説明します。

    SLOWART主宰。ポーランド在住で、10年前からヤノフ村の織手達とともにモノづくりに取り組み、日本各地で展覧会をはじめ現地で織物のワークショップツアーをするなど、ヤノフ村の織物を広める活動をしている。2017年には誠文堂新光社よりヤノフの二重織りの技法所である「ポーランド ヤノフ村の絵織物」が出版された。https://www.slow-art.pl/

    Double Weave from Janow Poland ? their weaving culture and techniques

    Contents:
    “Double Weave from Janow Poland” is becoming popular among Japanese weavers in recent years. Izumi will introduce you the traditional weaving “Double Weave” from Janow in Poland and how it has been developed with its both historical and cultural background. Also their demonstration will be performed to explain the technique of Double Weave.

    Izumi Fujita Director of SLOWART. Lives in Poland. Started handicraft with Janow weavers since 10 years ago. Introducing Janow weaving with the exhibitions and workshop tours in Poland. She wrote her book [Weaving from Janow](Seibundoh-shinkosha) in 2017. https://www.slow-art.pl/

    Kyoko Hirayama Visited Janow in Poland twice and learned their weaving from local weavers. She is holding Janow weaving workshops in Japan. (Technique lecturer)
